4 WAYS TO WEAR A WHITE SHIRT

Ramadan is now in full swing and not only am I mindful of not eating in public but I also make sure that I dress more conservatively. During this holy month, I rely on my three clothing arsenals: long-sleeved shirt, maxi skirt and blazer. This coming weeks, I will show you how to style them in different ways starting off with a plain white shirt. I own about 6 pairs in my closet (slouchy, crisp, sheer, linen, boyfriend, front pockets) and its by far my favorite piece of clothing because it’s versatile and there are endless ways of styling it. Here I’m going to show you how to take your white shirt from a casual weekend to hitting the tiles at night.

CASUAL WEEKEND

Pair your white shirt with relaxed denim, either boyfriend or skinny jeans and accessorize with a lightweight scarf and cute ballet flats to inject some color. Ideal for going out on a weekend shopping, watching movies or just bumming around at home.

OUT WITH FRIENDS

Relaxed layers is the key to achieving this look. Wear a slouchy vest on top of your white shirt and cinch it with a belt (preferably thin) and pair it with a pleated skirt making sure that it falls below the knee or opt for a maxi version. Finish the look with earth-tone sandals, pile of jewelry and a braided do.

CORPORATE

Easiest way to pull a corporate look is with a sharp suit and a crisp white shirt. Break the rather masculine look with a pair of strappy heels and a feminine classic bag. I like to button my shirt all the way and add a statement necklace to make the look more feminine.

GOING OUT

Whenever I’m going out at night, I tend to lean towards understated sexy rather than outfits that shows to much skin. My favorite going out look is pairing a lightweight white shirt with leather leggings and killer heels. Take it to the next level with a swipe of red lipstick, rock n’ roll necklace and even wearing a black lace bra underneath for that sexy peekaboo moment.
