ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

PART 2: GETING READY

Getting ready with your girls is always fun and especially on a special occasion like this. I kept my wedding dress hidden from my bridesmaids and only my Maid of Honor got a sneak peek of it. My wedding dress was love at first sight since it’s the first dress I tried on in the first boutique I visited while in France and the moment I tried on the veil, my mother-in-law burst into tears and I knew that the dress was coming with me.

My hair and makeup was pretty special since it was done by two people I love. My mother-in-law is an excellent hairdresser and she’s been taking care of my hair forever so I completely trusted her vision with only one condition: it had to be a braided hairstyle. The result was an intricate braid that framed my face wonderfully. A good friend of mine since back in high school did my makeup and it’s really nice to have someone that knows your personality and style to do your makeup. The makeup was classic with dewy skin and a fun lip colour. I was an enhanced version of myself and that’s exactly what I wanted to look like on my wedding day.

My Hair

I had my 4 girls (3 bridesmaids and maid of honor) getting ready with me. I was also excited because three of my girls are never caught with makeup on or wearing a dress, so it was fun for me seeing them getting their hair and makeup done while drinking champagne. Because they all have different styles and personalities, I didn’t want to impose any bridesmaid’s uniform so I had them select their own dresses in shades of nudes and champagnes, their shoes even the hair and makeup look and I must say they all looked absolutely stunning!

Anthony and his friends are a bunch of kids at heart and we wanted to add a little quirkiness to reflect their personalities while keeping their look crisp and dapper. They wore slim colorful neckties and neon loud socks and changed into black sneakers for the reception. They looked incredibly handsome and gentlemanly!
