M.A.C. MAGIC

Technique in applying eyeliner- start with the outer corner of the eye first

I got the pleasure of being invited to a M.A.C. Makeup Workshop led by Doha’s leading make-up artist and good friend of mine. The workshop was with a small group of people which made it intimate, interactive and a lot of fun. There’s also such precision to details from the decoration, lovely goody bag, training materials, and informative face charts. We covered basic makeup application from face prepping to perfecting a smoky eye look just like the stars (lots of reference to Kim Kardashian). I went home with a beautifully made up face and bag full of knowledge and makeup goody bag.

Here are some few insider tips I learned from the workshop:

  • M.A.C Fix + is your best friend- use it with everything!
  • To achieve a dewy look, dab a clear gloss on the bones of your cheek.
  • Apply black gel eyeliner as your eyeshadow for a striking smoky eye (blend it of course to avoid the raccoon look).
  • For an even winged eye look, start at the outer corner of your eye and drag the brush along the inner corner.
