I live in easy breezy dresses in the summer. It’s a lazy girl’s solution to looking great and appropriately dressed in the heat without looking like you’re heading to the beach (I’m talking to about ladies who live in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops!). Over the years, I’ve collected a decent amount of summer dresses but all in a flirty, flouncy and girly cut. This dress though is a departure from what I would normally wear. The silhouette feels a bit sexy and daring for me but I was drawn to its soft fabric, its thin strap and subtle slit on the side. This dress is also really comfortable which is what I look for in clothes. It naturally falls on my body yet maintains a shape because of its cinched waist.

I wore it last weekend on a brunch date and in keeping with the simplicity of the dress, I paired my dress with a simple nude ankle strap and a natural hair and make-up look. This dress will definitely be part of my packing list as I see myself wearing it in Montreal while strolling in the street.

P.S.: I unintentionally styled my outfit identical to the model’s look on Zara’s website. Maybe it means I have a natural ability to become fashion stylist… watch this space!
