We have started hosting Christmas Eve dinner at our house ever since we moved in three years ago. It’s quickly become my favorite holiday event because of the preparation that goes with it. This week I’ve spent my time setting the scene where I finalized little decorations in our house, prepped and organized what I need to cook and figured out our table setting decoration. Our dinner is an intimate one and wanted our table setting to reflect that by choosing silver and icy blue color theme that feels elegant yet cozy. I added small decoration details like silver painted pine cones and roses in bud vases. I planted tea candles to create an ambience and kept it unscented so it doesn’t conflict with the smell of the food. All the details are coming together and I’m looking forward to hosting everyone tonight. The most important thing I’ve learned though is to dedicate your night in making the people you love feel happy and festive in this very special occasion.
