Living in Doha has its perks and disadvantages. One of its many advantages is getting the time to travel and explore new countries but living here also means adapting to a lifestyle change and certain constraints out of respect to the country’s religion and culture. So whenever I get the chance to get away, I long to do normal things that I don’t get to do or find back home, it really makes you appreciate the simple things in life and savor each moments. For me it’s getting to walk a lot, stealing a kiss in public and visiting flea market or vintage stores to hunt for vintage treasures. Like every traveler, Anthony and I like to find something really special to bring back home to remind us of our trip (we love our brass mask from Venice) and while others collect snow globes and magnets, I collect one-of-a-kind jewelry from a local designer. I hadn’t really realized that I have travel must-dos but it was fun to think about them however silly it may be.
