Round 2! I’m in full festival mode, which means I’m on a special diet of chips and coffee, and my stress acne is back in full force. As I’m planted firmlyon my office desk day and night, I turn to the interwebs to escape reality and be transported in the fashion wonderland that is NYFW.
I lurked around style.com for so long; my brain started calculating and seeing trend patterns. And so I’ve decided, why don’t I add more work on my plate and put together my report on NYFW Fall 2015 trends!
At least it’s more fun than actual work. So here goes.
70s Party
Spring’s 70s trend continues to transition to Fall. Channel the bohemian rhapsody with buttery suede fabric, patent knee-high boots, boho dresses and anything with fringe.
Turtleneck- Low Neck Layering
A styling trick that’s functional and will keep us warm! Turtleneck is set to be the key layering piece this Fall 2015, and the best styling hack yet is layering a low cut dress over a turtleneck. It’s a nice day or evening look.
Marsala
Pantone’s color of year Marsala was very evident on the runway from different interpretations and style. Derek Lam channeled 70s retro suit in the color, Cushine et Ochs and Derek Lam transformed this color into evening wear, while Prabal Gurung did a modern take with leather in that rich color.
Fur Hood
Fur details were everywhere on the runway but my favorite interpretation is the fluffy fur hood. ‘It’s so fluffy, I’m gonna die!’ It’s the perfect cold weather ammunition, better than a beanie- no more hat head everyone.
What do you guys think? Anyone getting on the Fall 2015 bandwagon trend?
