Tokyo’s street style is a sight to see. Everybody is dressed to the nines and it was obvious that they use the street as their fashion catwalk. Despite the cold weather, you can see girls dressed in teeny skirts, knee high socks, platform heels and a coat that barely covered their bum.

You can imagine that choosing my clothes for this trip was an intimidating experience since I like to travel light. My challenge was packing versatile and statement pieces that can give me multiple wears. My go to items were oversized sweaters, shorts, tights, leather leggings and a structured black coat. I chose this outfit on a particularly pleasant day out. It’s comfortable yet fashionable and most importantly, it kept me warm walking in the cold weather the entire day. This outfit certainly got a seal of approval when I was constantly mistaken as Japanese. I will take that as a compliment.

Keep checking my blog for a coverage on Tokyo street style.
