The baker boy cap is the one accessory you need this upcoming season to amp up a simple outfit and hide a bad hair day.
I overdosed on fashion after following fashion month. I took notes next year’s trend, pinned a gazillion images on Pinterest, and swooned over some of my favorite street style queens. There was one unexpected accessory that was prominent on the streets of New York to Paris - the baker boy cap as seen here, here, and here.
It didn’t take much convincing for me to try on this trend after contemplating ways to hide my unwashed hair during days when I need to bolt the door in an instant. ‘Maybe, I can get away with looking like I’ve made an effort getting dressed’, functional mommy fashion, so I convinced myself.
Off to H&M I go full of hope that this QR79 accessory can elevate up my t-shirt and jeans uniform. No, I don’t intend drape myself with layers upon layers of designer gear and stomp as if I’m being papped in the street, I was gearing more towards casual, effortless look a la Jane Birkin. It translates more to everyday fashion, don’t you think?
And during days when I need to dash to an event after a supermarket run, I can simply switch my shoes to a kitten heel and grab a classic designer bag. Again, functional mommy fashion!
Who knew a baker boy cap is the affordable accessory that helped put me back on my fashion feet. Is this a trend you can get on board with? What are your quick styling solutions?
