It was only last year that I learned how to do my own manicure properly and it’s quickly become one of my favorite things to do on the weekend. I love the idea of translating your current mood on to the nail color you chose and experiment with so many different styles/colors without any long-term commitment. Lately, I’ve been trying out simple nail art that doesn’t really require any special tools or sincere concentration. Here I’m going to show you how to give a twist to a classic French manicure using nude and neon colors.
1. Start off my applying a base coat
2. Apply two coats of nude nail polish and let dry
- 3. Carefully apply 2 coats of a bright colored nail polish across the tip of your nail. Don’t worry about smudges, you can go back and clean it up late
4. Dot a small quantity of the bright colored nail polish on a flat surface. Using a pointed cotton buds (head of a pin or empty ink ballpoint pen are great alternative), dip the cotton buds into the nail polish until it absorb enough polish to create dots
5. Carefully and with steady hands, dot nail polish just below the colored tip to create a polka dot line
6.Go right down and dot nail polish in between the first row of polka dots line created. You might find the dots to be thick and embossed, don’t tamper or try to flatten it
7. Apply a layer of top coat and let dry
8. Clean off excess nail polish
voila! A very simple nail art
