NEON BAUBLE

April 25 2012

DIY

It’s pretty evident from here and here that I have a thing for neon and I’m a huge fan of neon jewelry like the ones from Tom Binns, Shourouk but it comes with a hefty price tag. I decided to try one of the many DIY interpretations with a simple bracelet to start since I’m not sure I will have the patience to do a bib necklace. It turned out to be strangely relaxing and yielded beautiful result that is a close resemblance to the designer piece.

What you’ll need:

1. Acrylic neon paint or bright nail polish

2. Nail polish brush, the smaller the better

3. Jewelry of choice. I bought mine in Al Rawnaq for QR20

Paint a light coat on top of the stone but avoid the metal backing.

Do two coats if you want to achieve a color stained stone and three coats for a solid color.

Let it dry for 30mins or more
