I consider a simple white shirt dress as a classic staple. For me, it epitomizes summer dressing-imagine wearing it outside in the sun with brown sandals, straw bag in hand and sunglasses and floppy hat on.
I’ve been on a look out to find the perfect dress for while but haven’t found one that met my criteria up until recently. A purchase from Montreal, this dress is not stiff, the fabric is incredibly lightweight, it cinches right on my waist and the a-line skirt is flattering to any body type (it’s currently on sale too). An ideal summer piece can also easily transition to fall or winter with a few styling adjustments. But while the humidity and heat is at its peak, I chose to keep it really simple and focusing on the dress itself and pairing it with nude sandals and minimal jewelry. I can see this dress being on constant rotation this season and I’m certain it will also be my go-to solution during those ‘I don’t know what to wear’ days.
