SUNSHINE AFTER THE RAIN

After a couple of miserable rainy days in Doha, the sun decided to finally show itself yesterday morning and I jumped outside to greet it with open arms. It’s a much-needed change as well, especially after a stormy week in my world.

Last week was a challenging one for me personally. It included a panicked drive to the doctor’s office, a baby that’s going through sleep regression, and a few doors shut on me. On top of which, I’ve been feeling like I can’t get my life in order, but I guess every mom feels that way. So let’s just say, I felt physically and emotionally drained last week.

But there will always be sunshine after the rain. And when the sun does shine, you put on your happiest striped t-shirt from Petit Bateau and a swipe of red lipstick to go and soak up the golden rays. It’s amazing what a little fresh air, and a serene, calm surrounding can do to your wellbeing – a place where all looming deadlines and never ending to-do list seems to dissipate for a second.
