“I’m going to W Cafe to work”, “Date night at La Spiga?”, “Want to get takeout sushi at Spice Market”. Whenever and for whatever, W Doha is always on the top of our minds. Am i right?
Swinging by a five-star boutique hotel to pick up my favorite chocolate from Teuscher (salted caramel and milk rocks if you’re wondering) might sound ludicrous but there’s something non-intimidating about the W Doha. The hotel is sophisticated without the air of arrogance, modern yet approachable, and swanky but friendly.
Clumsy Chic is taking a new editorial direction fusing fashion and lifestyle through visual storytelling. Partnering with W Doha was a natural choice to launch this new angel on the blog as it’s a natural fit to Clumsy Chic. It’s also where the most fashionable happenings are taking place in Doha. Step into the world of W Doha through the lens of Clumsy Chic and let me show you the you can come as your are for whatever you need, whenever.
Disclaimer: this post might make you want to dial in the hotel to make reservations this week.
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. My morning fuel is typically a buffet feast on the table. I like to pay homage to different countries on my plate starting with a Turkish breakfast of cheese, tomatoes, and cucumber then move on to an American breakfast, and finish the French way with waffles and Nutella. I’m ready to conquer the day.
I consider bloggers as creative entrepreneurs. When it comes to doing business, dressing the part and making a first good impression is important especially if you’re a fashion blogger. Nothing says ‘I mean business’ than a tailored suit and a statement Mark Cross bag. Then make a quick and lasting impression with their Bento Box express lunch menu at Spice Maket. A beautifully presented bento tray and a banging dessert is all what’s needed to seal the deal.
If you’re looking to impress, order the Wagyu Cheeks with a yuzu plum glaze and spiced peanut brittle and Ovaltine Kulfi for dessert.
WEEKLY DATE NIGHT
Eight years ago, Anthony and I made a pact to a mandatory Tuesday date night no matter what the situation is. It’s probably the longest commitment I’ve ever kept but you know what they say, relationship takes hard work. I personally look forward to our date nights as I get to dress up for my husband, anything red with simple makeup is a winning look based on experience.
La Spiga is one of our go-to date night venue. We start with a 5:30 aperitif and light snack then move to our table for a light meal of salad and pizza.
When your home is also your office, it’s hard to have work and life balance. My work would sometimes spill into the bedroom in the evening and then back at it again the moment I wake up, skipping breakfast. It’s nice to sometimes go for a staycation and transform your hotel room into a weekend solace. Sleeping in and room service is just what the doctor ordered.
I don’t think I’ve ever taken working out that seriously ever since I got pregnant. The sudden thought that you are responsible for the wellbeing of a creature inside your body is a good wake up call to get myself in shape. I wanted to be physically and mentally strong for my little girl. My workout of choice? Prenatal yoga and barre workout, brisk walking followed by a splash at the pool to cool off.
For me, there’s nothing better than ending the weekend with a nice afternoon tea complete with a towering tray of scones, tea sandwiches and dessert. It’s a great way to wrap up the weekend and ease yourself back into the upcoming work week. W Cafe has become my mobile office as I get to reward myself with their red velvet cake after work.
I’m also excited to anounce my collaboration with W Doha to bring fashion insider news on their website www.whoteldoha.com

Loved it! This was such an excellent post. Was a treat to read it (and see it). Where can I pick that vest blazer and the Erdem dress, Per Lei?
Thanks!
