TO THE MAX&CO

Confession time: I don’t really go shopping in Doha due to lack of time and also acceptable sartorial offerings that fits my taste. I’d rather sit in couch in my pajamas and have everything within my reach with a touch of a button.

But ever since I’ve stepped into the world of self-employment, I’ve been venturing outside the walls of my home and have been going to Lagoona Mall to break up my day to either to get coffee or chocolate sundae from McDee (I’m on a name basis with the staff there now).

What is supposed to be a quick pit stop quickly turned into a shopping spree at Avenue, Level 1. If you don’t know what’s up there, it is a fashion minefield of all the most coveted brands internationally from Kooples, Tory Burch, Marc Jacobs, and my personal favorite Max&Co. It might be the huge banner of Olivia Palermo that attracted me to enter the store but the brand has been on my radar for years now and I’m excited to welcome its arrival in Doha.

Known for its tailored essentials combined with statement pieces and a sprinkle of quirkiness, Max&Co is the playful and flamboyant version of its big sister MaxMara. If you’re looking for a good-looking coat without the hefty price tag, this is the place to go. Now that the weather is starting to get colder, I excitement jumped inside the store to stock up on some winter essentials. I came out with this cozy fringed poncho but also came out with this buttery soft structure shoulder bag in camel color (hottest color of the season).

What better way to wear this than on a crisp morning strolling around my neighborhood with a cup of coffee (decaf), feeling very much like Olivia Palermo (delusional? a pregnancy symptom I believe).

I wanted to introduce the Max&Co. brand to you, my cyber bffs. I’ve teamed up with Lagoona Mall and Max&Co. to host a fashion show as part of the Lagoona Mall Fashion Week this coming Friday, the 20^th of November.

Max&Co will be showcasing its latest fall offerings at Lagoona Mall Level 1 from 6:30-8:30 PM. I promise it will be an Instagram and Snapchat worthy event.
