I have only one fashion faux- pas: you will never see me wear mini skirt…let me more precise, you’ll never see me wear a denim mini skirt. I have nothing against people wearing denim mini skirt; it simply doesn’t work for me. But I’m all for anything midi skirt, especially in denim.
Denim skirts are having a major fashion resurrection all thanks to the 70s fashion trend that is sweeping the shopping racks. It’s the new denim staple and rightfully so, a denim skirt in the right length (midi length) is very versatile that can take you from work, night and play.
Case in point, this denim skirt from Zara has a 70s vibe to it with a buttoned-down front but looks very classic to take to wear to work by pairing it with a crisp shirt and a tailored bag.
Take the same denim skirt to date night by strategically unbuttoning the front to reveal a slice of legs. And for the weekend, go casual by pairing a denim skirt with a baggy t-shirt and bright white tennis shoes.
I have a feeling that a denim midi skirt will soon replace skinny jeans so get stocking!
