Traveling with children means you bring so much stuff. For our upcoming city holiday in Montreal, I have created a summer travel capsule wardrobe in hopes to simplify our packing and travel light. Lots of planning and strategy went on this to ensure I bring the minimal stuff, but still look put-together. In the end, I managed to narrow down a 12-piece travel capsule wardrobe for our 2-weeks city holiday.
Packing with a toddler in equation is quite stressful. Naomi’s packing list is double in length compared to mine, and that’s me being ruthless about cutting stuff out already. Although, we are taking a direct flight and won’t be hopping from city to another, the idea of having to unpack and pack a bursting suitcase is enough to make a mama go crazy. In an effort to streamline this process, Anthony and I decided to create a travel capsule wardrobe for the whole family. Yes, Naomi will also have a capsule wardrobe, which means there will be a lot of washing involved. The goal is to pack one suitcase for the three of us, a carry-on (I have camera equipment and laptop that I pack in my carry-on) and her diaper bag. And then of course, there’s the stroller and car seat.
If you’re going away on holiday this upcoming Eid and are looking for a travel capsule inspiration, here is what I’m bringing with me for a 2-week stint in Montreal. I’ve also written this detailed blog post on my travel packing tips that I swear by here and my ultimate downloadable packing list. If you want to me packing this in action (with a toddler attached to my hip), check out my Instastories.
Are you a serial over packer or a minimalist kind? I’d love to know your packing strategy below.
