Growing up in Doha, the concept of Ikea was pretty foreign to me but ever since we moved in our new house, I’ve quickly fallen deep into Ikea wonderland. Just check my web history browser: “Chic Ikea hacks”, “Ikea luxe look”, “Top Ikea finds”, “Interior designers favorite Ikea items”. Now that we’ve finished customizing furniture for our house, the Ikea addict in me needs a new high: enter DIY projects.
The first project is to replicate this expensive fur stool (QAR 5,800) which I managed to DIY for QAR 224. Learn how to do it with just four tools and four easy steps below.
Step 1: Assemble stool. Turn it upside down and spray paint the legs and underside (no need to paint the top since it’s going to be covered). Let dry.
Step 2: using a double-sided tape, attach the chair pad on top.
Step 3: Lay the stool on top of the sheepskin. Cover the underside of the stool with double-sided tape.
Step 4: Wrap the underside with fur, trimming off excess. Secure with large safety pins wherever needed making sure the fur is tightly fastened.
Voila! This project is super doable and requires minimal effort. What do you guys think? Comment below.
